Counseling for Open Relationships
Non-monogamy takes a lot of work. Period.
Open relationships can help people grow and add freedom and variety to their lives, but they require expert levels of communication, trust, and emotional awareness. Social stigma makes it difficult to find community and to figure out what is “normal.” Reading books like Opening Up, The Ethical Slut, More Than Two, and Polysecure can only get you so far, and it can be extremely helpful to have a therapist when you and your partner(s) are navigating new relationship dynamics in real time.
I teach partners how to express their needs, set boundaries, and talk through problems in a safe, supportive, non-judgmental space. Together, we will define what is acceptable within your unique ENM framework and address potential pitfalls. Whether you are deciding to open your relationship up to others, want to re-examine your current agreements, or navigate through jealousy and breaches of trust, I will be with you through the process.
I offer therapy for individual, couples, and multiple partners in consensually non-monogamous relationships, and I especially welcome queer partnerships where one or more partners are transgender or non-binary. 🏳️🌈🏳️⚧️🏴☠️
